Would you like to work from home two days a week? We are looking for a Senior addition to our Accounting department that loves the Medical field! Our company helps doctors and patients navigate the dark side of the industry (paying for it). As a Senior Accountant, you'll help Doctors get paid and patients find the resources to take care of themselves. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 4 years of experience, and extensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and you must have Healthcare Accounting experience!Job Duties:
Preparation of interim and annual financial statements to review by the CFO and VP, finance (prepares and records journal entries which include multi-entity allocations, intercompany transactions, handles all general ledger accounts, and maintains all monthly and year-end adjusting entries and account analysis).Preparation of P&L and Balance sheet supporting schedules and reports for external auditors and respond to special requests for upper management.Oversees General accounting department and trains staff and cross-over for absent employees.On a monthly basis, prepare all allocation of physician's corporate costs to the affiliated entities.Responsible for all reconciliation with all affiliated entities.Preparation of physician compensation and contract administration functions of over 200 physicians (employed and 1099) and responsible for implementing compensation plans/models to show the overall physician strategy under the direction of the CFO and VP Finance to determine and supervise contract administration, regulatory compliance, and compliance with physicians fair market regulation.Coordinate with outside auditors (Worker Compensation).Interface with outside accountant in providing the data needed for preparation of corporate tax return which includes intensive data analysis and research.Preparation of all quarterly and yearly federal and state tax returns.Completion of questionnaires, statistical reports, and other financial related forms for governmental agencies, financial institutions, and other outside organizations.Interface with doctors in resolving questions.Prepare financial data on guaranteed and cardiology doctors.Prepare budgets to be reviewed by the CFO and VP of finance.Approve check requests for payment.Handle and dispose of all other matters that come across the desk.Handle any requests for special projects.Work with confidential data.Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of 4 years in accounting experience.Skills and Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Presentation Skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Advanced proficiency in MS Office products: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
