Melville, NY - USAPosition RequirementsReporting to an Accounting Manager, a Senior Accountant is responsible for all general accounting tasks including daily cash reconciliation, preparation of journal entries in accordance with GAAP, month-end close, Balance Sheet and Expense analysis, and assistance with the preparation of Financial Statement and year-end audit of Financial Statements.ACTIVITY / RESPONSIBILITY:Reconcile bank accounts across multiple entities and research the nature of transactions involved for proper accounting treatment.Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and reconcile GL accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.Analyze period over period results and provide meaningful commentary on reasons for variances.Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.Assist with providing information to the external auditors in connection with the year-end financial statement audit.Automate and/or streamline manual processes; contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of internal controls.Assist with Ad Hoc reporting requests.QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least 4 years of progressive experience as an accounting professional.Bachelor's degree – AccountingStrong knowledge of GAAPSAP, Oracle, or similar ERP experienceAdvanced Excel skills; VLOOKUP, Nested IF statements, etc.Strong aptitude to understand accounting systems and how to extract and reconcile informationAbility to multitask and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAble to effectively work on a hybrid/remote teamDESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:CPAPublic Accounting ExperienceBookkeeping ExperienceWorkday (ERP System) experienceTotal Rewards:Salary: $85,000 - $95,000Generous benefits package, including:Paid Time OffHealth, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts401(k)Leadership and professional development opportunitiesEEO StatementNorth American Partners in Anesthesia is an equal opportunity employer.
