Ad agency agreementsInfluencer and celebrity endorsement contractsSponsorship and online media buying agreementsMarketing and promotion agreements
Review and Counsel :
Ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issuesContest and sweepstakes compliancePrice advertising and recurring subscription programsLoyalty and rewards programs
Legal Disputes and Compliance :
Handle disputes related to false advertising and unfair competitionRepresent clients in National Advertising Division disputesProvide ongoing legal counsel on consumer protection laws and regulations
Collaboration and Group Work :
Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff within the firmOffer strategic legal advice to clients in conjunction with other team members
Qualifications
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State Bar
Experience :
Substantive experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactionsExperience in a large or medium law firm setting is strongly preferredProven track record in handling false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work
Certifications :
Additional certifications in Intellectual Property (IP) law or consumer protection law are a plus
