This role involves drafting and negotiating various marketing and promotional agreements, providing legal counsel on compliance issues, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent academic credentials, and solid legal writing and communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and negotiate ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements.Review advertising copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property (IP) issues, and right of publicity concerns.Counsel clients on compliance with contest and sweepstakes regulations.Provide legal advice on price advertising and recurring subscription programs.Advise on loyalty and rewards programs.Handle false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division (NAD) dispute work.Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in relevant laws and regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Experience in advertising, marketing, and promotions law.Substantive experience with ad agency and influencer agreements, online media buying, and marketing transactions.Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and NAD disputes preferred.Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:Excellent legal writing and communication skills.Strong knowledge of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing regulations.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.Ability to review and analyze advertising content for legal compliance.Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.High level of attention to detail.Benefits Offered:Annual discretionary bonus401(k) planMedical, dental, and vision insurancePersonal medical and parental leaveUp to ten paid holidaysFamily care benefits
