Position Summary

The Consumer Engagement Manager (CEM) is responsible for the management and execution of Monster Energy’s brand portfolio sampling and local marketing initiatives within a defined market. This role reports to the Regional Field Manager and is accountable for growing brand awareness and consumer loyalty. The CEM manages a schedule of part time Ambassadors and a Sr. Ambassador (not applicable in all geographies). The CEM’s time is split between administrative responsibilities that include scheduling and recaps, as well as in- market coaching, merchandising, and sampling support with Ambassadors. CEM’s should be spending 50%-70% of their time in the market in the field with their teams. In addition to sampling support for all major national & local events the CEM will need to cultivate additional local market sampling opportunities.

The CEM will also contribute to the local “Marketing Plan”. This input will help mold & shape the greater local Marketing plan spearheaded by the Field Marketing Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Consumer Engagement Managers will have several Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

Collaborates with Monster, Ultra, Rehab & Teas, Java, Reign, Reign Storm, Bang, other MEC Brand Managers, local sales team, and Field Marketing Managers (FMM) to customize and execute events/programs aligned with the brands’ sampling platformsProvides consistent direction, coaching, and communication to maintain brand accuracy in the Monster brand experiences and samplingRecruit, hire, train, and manage part time AmbassadorsResearch, secure, and manage execution of local events and partnershipsPlan and manage all aspects of the event planning process: pre, during, and post duties including: personnel, product delivery/distribution, transportation, supplies, contracts, insurance, permitsIncrease market knowledge and identify various groups and organizations with the targeted demographic in which to partnerDiligently prepares ambassadors for superior customer interactions and flawless event executionsLeads direction of and oversees brand accuracy in event and partnership executionActively participates in all regional events with ambassadorsExecute strategic directions and manage the goals for the assigned region/marketAdhere to deadlines for administrative tasks including, but not limited to, reporting and recapping data for the regionAssists in the planning and drives the execution of marketing events and programsRespond in a timely manner to Director and Regional Field ManagerManage payroll and timesheetsMaintaining company assets (Storage Facilities, Inventory, Vehicles, Equipment)

Position Requirements

2+ years of Event Marketing/Grassroots/Special Event/Promotions and Team Management experienceMust have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record (as will, at times, drive company provided vehicle)Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinkerAbility to match your field team to best represent your marketProfessional demeanor and excellent oral communication skillsEntrepreneurial and adaptable to changing environmentsStrong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasksProficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel, in addition to internet usageAbility to learn and use new technology that is associated with the jobSelf-Motivated with a can-do attitudeAbility to travel 50%+ of the year within the assigned region and ability to work on weekends and eveningsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 40 poundsMust be able to pass a background check/drug screening
