Join a leading real estate firm as a Project Accountant. As the Project Accountant, your primary responsibilities involve overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions for an assigned portfolio of development assets. This encompasses tasks such as closing books, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate records. Collaboration with internal departments and external vendors is essential to ensure the timely processing of payable transactions. Responsibilities:

Review and process construction-related invoices for coding and accuracy, ensuring proper supporting documents according to company billing procedures.Maintain monthly Unconditional & Conditional lien releases for suppliers and subcontractors and associated trackers.Prepare journal entries and other accounting transactions, ensuring overall accuracy of the general ledger and GAAP compliance.Complete month-end accounting and reporting, including preparing financial statements and associated sub-schedules for all entities within the assigned portfolio.Coordinate with project leads to record, monitor, and reconcile construction activities; this includes: resolving questions from unusual variances or fluctuations in job cost activity and construction account expenses, and providing general accounting support, as needed.Prepare monthly loan draw requests and associated reports, including reviewing contractor pay applications, bank financing forms, and lien waivers.Perform ad hoc data analysis and special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years’ prior experience as a construction project accountant.Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in Sage 300/Timberline, Yardi or related mid-tier Real Estate or Construction ERPs.Prior experience with multi-family real estate development.Working knowledge of job costing and project costing.Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.Self-motivated and proactive.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $95,000**The above represents the lowest to highest
