Position Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating all HR activities at G&M. This strategic leadership role includes managing personnel policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing compensation and performance management systems, and developing health and wellness programs. The Director will collaborate closely with the executive team to enhance engagement, foster a positive company culture, and support G&M's long term success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:

Align HR with company goals, drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Talent Acquisition:

Develop strategies to attract top talent, lead the interview process, and collaborate with hiring managers to create compelling job descriptions.

Onboarding & Retention:

Coordinate seamless onboarding processes, conduct orientations, and provide ongoing support to new hires to ensure successful integration.

Compliance & Policy Management:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; communicate changes in policies and procedures.

Performance Management:

Assist in the development and administration of the organization's wage and salary program, and lead performance management initiatives.

Employee Relations:

Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances with discretion and empathy.

Health & Wellness Programs:

Manage health and welfare benefits programs, educate employees on available benefits, and resolve administrative matters.

Labor Relations:

Understand and work within the boundaries of applicable collective bargaining agreements, including supporting union negotiations.

Safety Compliance:

Maintain OSHA and safety logs, ensuring the company meets all safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

4-10 years of HR experience

Certified HR professional preferred (SHRM-CP or PHR)
