Probate Estate Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a strong understanding of Connecticut law. You’ll find that we enjoy what we do and like to keep things light when we can.If you’re ready to take your career to the next level in a firm that values your expertise and provides a supportive, enjoyable work environment, Beckett Law might be the perfect place for you.Responsibilities:Educate clients about options for retirement, donating to charity, and purchasing insurance.Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed.Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents.Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process.Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current.Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration.Represent clients in probate court and during estate administration processes.Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to clients’ needs.Stay current on changes in Connecticut estate law and advise clients accordingly.Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and client service.Qualifications:Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association).Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.Working knowledge of title insurance, wills, trusts, property management, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation.Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar.Minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates law.Deep knowledge of Connecticut estate planning, probate, and trust law.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humor.Love of dogs and chocolate a plus!Compensation:

$95,000 - $120,000 yearly
