The ideal candidate will be crucial in representing management in various legal matters related to labor relations, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”)Conducting thorough research and producing well-written legal documentsRepresenting management in NLRB electionsProviding legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreementsNegotiating and advising on collective bargaining agreementsManaging grievance, arbitration, and unfair labor practice proceedingsObtaining mass picketing injunctions when necessaryReviewing handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state lawConducting management training on labor relations, federal and New York workplace issues, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliationOther duties and responsibilities as reasonably assignedRequirements:
JD from an accredited law school3 years of traditional labor law experience is preferredNY Bar AdmissionUnderstanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques is preferredSkills:
Excellent attention to detailStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
