A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Traditional Labor Of Counsel to join its team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling various labor relations matters, providing legal advice to employers, and representing management in labor disputes and negotiations. This position requires exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills and a thorough understanding of federal and California labor laws.Key Responsibilities:Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)Conduct legal research and writingRepresent management in NLRB electionsProvide legal advice to employers regarding union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreementsNegotiate and provide legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreementsHandle grievance, arbitration, and unfair labor practice proceedingsAdvise employers on federal and California wage and hour issues, leave management, disability accommodations, and other workplace issuesReview handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state lawReview compensation, commission, and bonus plansConduct management training on labor relations, federal and California workplace issues, harassment, discrimination, and retaliationPerform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assignedRequirements:JD from an ABA-accredited law schoolMinimum of 9 years of litigation or advisory work as an attorneyTraditional labor experience preferredFederal and California advice and counsel work preferredActive CA Bar AdmissionUnderstanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques preferredExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsBilingual in English and Spanish preferredSkills and Qualifications:Deep understanding of labor relations and employment lawProven ability to manage complex legal mattersStrong negotiation and conflict resolution skillsAbility to provide clear and practical legal adviceProficient in legal research and writingCapable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines efficientlyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleaguesEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in the California State Bar
