Senior Embedded Software Engineer .

Here's what you'll be working on day to day:

Design, code, debug, and integrate new capabilities for our new and existing turreted weapons systems (RIwP)Debug issues with existing systemsIntegration of new capabilities both in the Systems Integration Lab and in the field.Deliver executable software that meets performance requirementsDeliver other software work products (documentation) that meet contractual requirementsProvide status reporting to management during project executionHere's what you'll need to bring with:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering desired. Bachelor of Science degree in other engineering fields, may be considered with appropriate additional experience in the design/development/test of real-time control software. Master's Degree a plus.Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design/development/test of embedded real-time control software, and about 5 years overall experience in software developmentC language (Java a plus)OS experience, especially RTOS (bare metal and embedded Linux a plus)Experience with communication protocol drivers and stacks (networking, 1553, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.)Read and understand electronic part data sheets, electrical schematics, communication protocol documentsBehavioral Competencies: innovation, adaptability, decision making, communications, customer focus, building strategic working relationships, energy, initiating action, quality orientationTechnical competency required in applied science, data acquisition, diagnostic skills, document creation, and mathExperience in Unix internals, low level driver software, communication interface software as well as GUI software is a plusAbility to travel 10-15%Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearanceHere's what is in it for you:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $111,000 - $177,000 per year.
