Toyon is seeking a Software and Embedded Systems Engineer with a background in embedded systems and software design that will be applied to a variety of systems involving electronic warfare, navigation, and RF sensor processing. An ideal candidate will have excellent thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype embedded systems in state-of-the-art testbeds, using mixtures of FPGAs, SoCs, and other embedded processors. Essential skills include a solid understanding of physics and mathematics, the ability to understand analog and digital communication theory, to perform modeling of candidate system designs, and to design and implement algorithms and software for embedded systems involving different sensor modalities.
A B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Theoretical and hands-on experience should include as many of the following as possible:

The annual pay range for the Software and Embedded Systems Engineer position is $90,000 to $150,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate's education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
