Reporting to the Associate Director for Residential Education, oversee and lead two to four residentially-based Learning Communities (LCs) that house between 1300 to 1900 students (roughly one third of the on-campus population). Provide training, supervision, development, and evaluation of two to three front-line full-time professional staff members (including Area Coordinators and/or Residence Directors) and a Graduate Coordinator. As a member of the Residential Education Leadership Team, oversee the administrative and management functions of the Campus Area, as well as assisting in the development of policies and procedures for the department. Support the Area Coordinators and Residence Directors to establish Learning Communities that foster community and civic engagement, enhance learning, advance diversity and inclusion, and promote student health, engagement, and success. This is a required live-on position.Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or related field.Three to five years related experience.Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of Restorative Practices.Commitment to intercultural competency development and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.Background check required due to the live-in nature of this position.Desirable Qualifications:Previous experience in residential life and/or learning communities desirable.Anticipated Pay Range:
$61,000 - $63,000Other Information:Special Conditions: Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime).Required to live on-campus.A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees.Background Check required for this position.FLSA:
