The central purpose of OURS is to help integrate undergraduates into UC Berkeley's dynamic and multifaceted research enterprise.Application Review Date:

July 18, 2024Responsibilities:The Undergraduate Research and Curricular Program Analyst will take a data-driven approach to refining policies, administrative infrastructure, and strategic project development for a range of programs and initiatives across the Academic Engagement Unit of the College of Letters & Sciences' Undergraduate Division.20% - Supports the implementation of the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP) every semester, including faculty and student recruitment, program promotion, planning, administration, communication, evaluation, and assessment.15% - Supports the transition of SURF L&S from an application-based program to admissions based on departmental nomination.10% - Engages faculty mentors of SURF L&S and URAP recipients about their experiences.5% - Assesses growth and innovation potential of the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP).5% - Examines URAP evaluations and SURF L&S surveys.5% - Draws qualitative and quantitative data from program participants and projects.5% - Identifies effective and innovative research mentorship.5% - Develops multiple means of measuring program impacts.5% - Attains comprehensive knowledge of technical platforms.5% - Leverages partnerships across campus.5% - Cultivates ongoing cross-campus partnerships.5% - Works with unit directors, program managers, and L&S Communications team to generate reports.5% - Engage in continuous learning in topics related to best practices in mentorship.5% - Identifies stress points experienced by faculty mentors.Required Qualifications:Advanced interpersonal skills; a capacity to work with and gain trust from faculty, staff, and students.Skills in data analysis and an ability to evaluate both qualitative and quantitative forms of evidence.Critical competencies in problem identification, assessment, and analysis.Advanced ability to find solutions to complex problems.Attention to detail.Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.Strong skills in analyzing, researching, and synthesizing large amounts of data.Ability to meet deadlines within compressed timeframes.Three-to-five years of professional experience in higher education.Education Level:Master's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Preferred Qualifications:Supervisory experience.Strong deductive and critical reasoning.Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.Knowledge of department, campus, and University policies.UC Campus and/or equivalent experience.Experience in research.Advanced degree with established expertise in research field.Knowledge of High Impact Practices.Knowledge of University policies governing responsible research conduct.Salary & Benefits:This is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) exempt career position, which is paid monthly and eligible for full UC Benefits. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is

$85,800.00 - $92,000.00
