POSITION TITLE: Development Director ORGANIZATION OVERVIEWGreenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by a dedicated group of artists, arts advocates, and community leaders. Located in the historic Brandon Mill in the Village of West Greenville, GCCA’s mission is to enrich the cultural fabric of the community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. As the only art center of its kind in the Greenville, SC area, GCCA specializes in hands-on visual arts instruction, offering art classes for all ages and skill levels, private artist studios, free high-profile public exhibitions, and innovative outreach programs for underserved children and young emerging artists. Its vision is to build an engine for creativity and community building that crosses boundaries and overcomes barriers.GCCA has made significant contributions to the Greenville community and beyond, being named 'One of Five Places to Visit in Greenville' by the New York Times. Additionally, GCCA has been featured in regional and national publications such as Southern Living, which highlighted the center's role in fostering a vibrant local arts scene. The Greenville Journal praised GCCA for its impactful art education programs, while Forbes acknowledged the center's innovative approach to community engagement.GCCA is on solid financial footing, with a board-approved three-year strategic plan and a 10-year vision guiding its priorities and decision-making. This positions GCCA for continued growth and success as it recruits a Development Director to elevate the organization to its next phase.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Development Director, in partnership with and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all GCCA fundraising efforts. These efforts include the annual fund, institutional giving, corporate giving, grant writing and reporting, special events, and membership program management. The Development Director will also focus on cultivating relationships with current donors and members, managing two large fundraising events, and identifying and securing major individual contributions to strengthen donor and community partner relationships.
