Greentree Manor is a 90-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Waterford, Connecticut. We are currently hiring a full-time Director of Human Resources. Come join our team!
Responsibilities:
Assure that quality personnel are interviewed, trained, and employed.
Develop and maintain written job descriptions and competency-based performance evaluations for each staff position in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, OSHA, and other pertinent laws governing job positions.
Assist in determining departmental staffing, evaluate employee performances, and make recommendations to the Administrator concerning wage and salary adjustments, hiring, terminations, transfers, etc.
Process offer letters upon receipt of new hire requisitions from department heads.
Ensure that the facility is in compliance with current applicable federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, work hours, workman's/unemployment compensation, etc.
Review nursing licenses (and other licensed employees) on a monthly basis and verify renewal of any license expirations. Maintain a copy of current licenses.
Maintain attendance records and records of counseling, warning, and other disciplinary action taken against employees. Ensure that discipline is conducted in a consistent and fair manner.
Human Resources Director Pay Rate:
Based on experience.

Requirements:
A Degree in Business Administration preferred but not required.
Must have, as a minimum, 1 year of experience in Human Resource Administration.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in the long-term care facility.
Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
