Evenings and weekends a possibility.Lab Graduate Research Assistant: Division of Public Health, University of UtahResearch assistant duties to help support a large epidemiologic children’s health study (Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes, ECHO) following women through pregnancy, and children from birth through age 21 ( echochildren.org ). Duties may include but are not limited to processing biospecimens, driving for sample collection, support for study coordinator duties, taking inventory, etc.Currently enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Utah. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening.RAs that can work 20 hours per week may be eligible for the Tuition Benefit Program.Responsibilities

Work in a highly collaborative manner with members of a close-knit team while exhibiting independent and creative thought.Process various biospecimen samples including urine, blood, stool, saliva, and blood spot.Transport samples from hospital, clinic, or other locations (placenta tissue, urine, blood, etc.).Take weekly inventory.Take initiative without requiring explicit direction. Identify gaps and risks and take appropriate action.Demonstrate self-sufficiency in setting, managing, and maintaining priorities.Communicate progress and collaborate with research team members.Attend research team meetings.Fulfill other research-related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

High level of attention to detail and protocol. Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects and balancing competing priorities.Additional Information
