Join our team working on important research for the funded project “Building an Academic-Long-term Care System Coalition to Improve Palliative Care” in the College of Nursing. This work is focused on identifying workflows and care processes in nursing homes that relate to palliative and end-of-life care. Our goal is to better understand how we can embed research in nursing home workflows in order to improve the evidence base on palliative and end-of-life care for persons living with dementia and their care partners.You will gain valuable experience supporting qualitative data collection, data management (e.g., validating, storing), and qualitative data analysis. You’ll also get a chance to assist in writing publications and grants and have opportunities for authorship on presentations and publications. You will need to complete the training to become certified in Good Clinical Practice, CITI program and HIPAA compliance during the first week.Responsibilities:Assist with data management (e.g., entering data)Following up with research participants by emailScheduling interviews (may also conduct some interviews)Organizing, reviewing and editing presentation materialAssist with preparing dissemination documents such as manuscripts, one-pagersAssist with grant proposal preparationMinimum Qualifications:Preferences:The University of Utah values candidates who have experience working in settings with students from diverse backgrounds and possess a strong commitment to improving access to higher education for historically underrepresented students.Individuals from historically underrepresented groups, such as minorities, women, qualified persons with disabilities and protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
