Job Description
Hourly Rate Range : $27.00 USD Gross per hour
Reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
The ability to possess a high level of professionalism and integrity while maintaining the confidentiality of the department
Assist with administrative functions
Maintain all office materials
Maintain and distribute all documents, forms and correspondence throughout the Resort
Ensure all Federal and State required documents are current and up to date
Maintain departmental filing system and run quarterly filing audits
Assist with monthly compliance audits: I-9 compliance, Food Handlers cards, Spa License DMV and additional reporting
Assist colleagues & Leaders with basic Talent and Culture questions
Assist with Resort functions and monthly Talent and Culture colleague events
Maintain the Human Resources System (Dayforce)
Maintain monthly Talent and Culture internal communication bulletin boards and posting current and up to date information
Use a variety of methods to promote Fairmont Grand Del Mar’s department information and standards including but not limited to updating bulletin boards, daily pre-shifts, and training materials as needed
Assist with reporting workers compensation claims to carrier in a timely manner
Assist with safety training initiatives
Assist with coordinating benefit eligibility letters to colleagues and hosting benefits seminars
Assist with department and benefits billing is completed each month
Maintain the HRB System including input, output and report processing
Assist with recruitment process coordination, scheduling, screening, advertising and new hire onboarding
Assist with maintaining Applicant Tracking System (INES)
Assist with the pre-employment process including, completing reference checks and background checks
Process and maintain confidential information and to properly document information for payroll purposes, i.e. new hire personal information, wage changes, termination, etc.
Promote a positive Colleague culture through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun
Assist with and support staff events of direct line committee organization, employee communication, bulletin boards, employee of the month program, employee picnics, parties, volunteering events and general meetings
Assist with recruitment and training as needed
Qualifications:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
1-3 years of Talent & Culture experience preferred
Prior Hospitality experience is a plus
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Knowledge of federal, state, and local law.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent spoken and written English
Bilingual ability is an asset
