The

Director, Global Strategic Sourcing

directs all activities related to the sourcing of direct and indirect materials, outside value-add manufacturing, and logistics functions. The primary function of this role is to develop strategic plans, mitigate potential supply chain risks, and ensure that purchased material happens at the lowest cost, and is available to meet demand and future requirements. This role is responsible for the efficient flow of materials for domestic and international locations and the development of secondary and localized supply chains. The incumbent has responsibility for the Data, Power & Control strategic sourcing framework across all Starline locations. What Will You Do? Establish strategic plans, including vision, goals, and objectives for the global supply chain group, working with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to ensure Starline’s customer service and purchasing/supply chain goals and objectives are achieved. Implement plans covering all commodities, services, and supplier processes to deliver maximum value, leverage, standardization, and compliance. Ensure projects, secondary and localized sourcing initiatives, and improvement plans are in place, and monitor and report the progress of execution regularly. Deliver on all assigned objectives including supplier performance, material cost productivity, CSR Initiatives, DPO, and DIO. Understand current market trends around material cost, availability, and risk factors across all applicable commodities. Provide analysis with recommendations regarding material cost reduction opportunities. Deploy supplier scorecard and drive supplier performance to ensure suppliers deliver in +QDIP. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our supply base and other LNCA & DPC colleagues maintaining the highest degree of business ethics and professionalism. Negotiate strategic, large, and/or critical agreements as required and ensure appropriate contracts are in place to protect Legrand’s interests, minimize exposure, and secure consistent supplies at competitive prices. Develop a comprehensive vendor base, leveraging both global and local capabilities, that creates and sustains a competitive advantage in terms of cost, supply, service, and working capital. Perform other similar and related duties as required. Responsible for KPI of BU in Supplier Business Management / Supply Chain Risk Management / Material Productivity / Supplier CSR / NPD Procurement. Qualifications

Required Skills Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field required; MBA preferred. ISM (A.P.P. C.P.M.) or APICS (CPIM, CIRM) certification preferred. Experience: Minimum 10 years combined experience in purchasing, materials, supply chain, and inventory control-related roles. Minimum 5 years supporting a global supply chain. Minimum 3 years leading the Sourcing / Supply Chain activities at a business unit level is required. Experience in “make to order”, discrete production and assembly, and industrial environment is required. Experience with a multi-site or multi-business environment is preferred. Experience with ERP systems and processes. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Proven track record, in complex manufacturing environments, leading purchasing, inventory control, supply chain, and materials efforts, with demonstrated tangible results that positively impacted business cost, service, and performance. Understanding of current material market trends (cost and availability) across multiple commodities. Solid negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction and process improvement accomplishments. Ability to travel on a global basis and effectively work with teams from other countries and cultures. Requires strong organizational and project management skills, close attention to detail, and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
