Boulder Justice Center (1777 6th St. Boulder, CO 80302)

or the

Longmont Justice Center (225 Kimbark St. Longmont, CO 80501) . Under FLSA guidelines, this position is

exempt.

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Classification and Hiring Salary Range:

$85,236-$90,372 AnnuallyExamples of Duties:Prepares and tries cases involving misdemeanor, traffic and petty offenses.Assists the Chief Deputy in the intake of misdemeanor and traffic cases.Explains and interprets statutes and status of various cases to the general public, and determines the adequacy of complaints presented by the public.Assists district court and juvenile court deputies in the prosecution of routine felony matters.Periodically serves on call to provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies and answer immediate questions from the general public.Attorneys will be required, on occasion, to respond to crime scenes at all hours and weekends.Candidates will be expected to have a strong work ethic and demonstrate good teamwork.Duty to appear and argue bond on various cases, including periodic weekend and holiday court appearances.Performs related work, as required.May be reassigned during emergency situations.Required Qualifications:PLEASE NOTE:

LLB or JD degree.

You may apply if you will be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado on or before July 31, 2024 or if you are sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam and are eligible to practice under the Student Practice Act.
