This purpose guides our commitment to deliver enhanced human-centric health care for a rapidly changing world.Position SummaryThe Lead Director of Observability Governance is responsible for leading strategic planning for the enterprise observability roadmap and establishing a governance body and related procedures to set and maintain observability standards to meet the needs of all CVS Health businesses. You will collaborate with observability engineering and operations teams, service management, IT operations, and business partners to establish observability standards, practices, and processes.Responsibilities:Standards and Governance:
Develop and maintain a governance framework and associated practices to ensure effective oversight of Observability standards, practices, and platforms.Financial Management:
Work closely with finance and procurement teams to manage budgets related to observability products and services.Observability Roadmap Strategy:
Establish a strategy to accelerate the migration of observability services from legacy platforms for multiple business units.Project Management:
Engage executives, department heads, and IT teams to plan, execute, and oversee observability projects.Capacity Planning and Performance Engineering:
Partner with application owners to model performance against forecasted demand.Required QualificationsMinimum 10 years of IT industry experience with 5+ years of experience leading teams in IT operations, DevOps, SRE, or observability.5 years of experience developing a high-performing team and influencing organizational priorities.5 years of experience in observability concepts and solutions.Prior experience performing 1 migration or end-to-end implementation of a major observability platform.3 years of experience with data analytics and reporting.3 years of experience developing enterprise observability standards including ITIL processes.3 years of experience with best practice frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF.3 years of experience developing enterprise KPIs and scorecards.3 years of experience managing financial operations and software contracts.3 years of experience with enterprise demand analysis, capacity planning, and performance engineering.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the healthcare industry's regulatory landscape, particularly in data security and privacy.EducationBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,500.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade.We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
