A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an accomplished Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions, with a focus on matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.Responsibilities:
Handle regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions.Address matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.Advocate before state utility commissions and handle power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related matters.Ensure a strong academic record and possess superior judgment.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Handle multiple projects effectively and articulate legal strategies and courses of action.Requirements:
4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience preferred.Active Bar license in the state.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Skills:
Expertise in energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance.Experience with regulatory matters before state energy commissions.Familiarity with Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Superior judgment and ability to articulate legal strategies.Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.Benefits:
