This position will be located in our Washington, DC office.The Manager, Talent Acquisition & Development implements global strategy at the local level in assigned US offices, manages aspects of student recruiting, attorney relations, new hire orientation, and professional development initiatives. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with peers across offices to initiate and execute firm-wide initiatives.In this capacity, the Manager, Talent Acquisition & Development will:

Talent Acquisition

Implement Attorney Recruiting initiatives and activities including campus, targeted, diversity, and summer associate recruiting programs; Work with the Talent Acquisition team to coordinate special cross-office projects including leading campus practice group hiring;Develop and maintain law school and professional association relationships;Develop, execute and manage local recruiting strategies, policies, initiatives, budgets and other administrative operations;Analyze trends, generate reports, and develop and lead recommendations for improvement by utilizing data and databases;Leverage coordinator(s) to assist talent acquisition programs as needed; andWork beyond scheduled hours as required, including attendance at special events in the evenings and/or on weekends; Travel as needed for programs, activities and initiatives.Talent Development

Manage, implement, and provide strategic and logistical support to the local Talent Development Committee (TDC) programs, initiatives, and social events;Develop an understanding of the goals behind global talent development initiatives to better promote local programs;Provide guidance, advice and offer recommendations to local TDC to support initiatives that are in-line with the firm's goals (i.e. client service excellence, legal expertise etc.); andSupport the integration of first-year associates through coordination of local training as well as monthly touchpoints to check-in on their progress/integration to the Firm.Talent Management

Manage the implementation of global programs in assigned offices;Provide performance and career guidance, supervision, and evaluation of Talent Management team in assigned office(s);Manage and monitor local office expenses and reconcile related budgets;Participate in the hiring and training of local office Talent Management team members;Coordinate on-boarding of all new hires (staff and attorneys), including: notifications to key stakeholders regarding new hire's arrival, preparation of orientation schedules; I9 processing;Implement local Performance Management processes as needed; andHandle additional related projects as assigned.Proficiencies:

Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;Advanced proficiency with coordinating training programs and events;Fundamental proficiency in project management skills and strategies;Advanced knowledge of legal recruiting, attorney development and administrative policies and procedures;Advanced knowledge of legal education, career development and attorney development practices and philosophies; andAdvanced knowledge of communication principles and practical applications.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources Management or a related field (preferred);At least 7 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required);At least 5 years of attorney recruiting and development experience (preferred); andAt least 3 years of management experience (preferred).Employees will be provided with an excellent career opportunity in a collaborative environment, in addition to a generous total compensation package with the opportunity to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability.The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $119,700 and a maximum of $155,600 annually.
