The Manager of Group Sales is responsible for creating the annual group sales budget and establishing individual goals; developing the strategy to achieve the departmental goals and daily management of the group sales team. Additionally, the Manager of Group Sales will represent the CFHOF at various industry events such as SYTA, ABA, and ACVB events. This includes the coordination of all promotional and sales materials as well as implementing a follow-up process to track ROI. (AHM) operates the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta across from Centennial Olympic Park. The Hall opened its doors in August 2014 and has established itself as one of the nation's most engaging, interactive experiences, and unique venue destinations. The Hall of Fame's mission is to educate, entertain, connect, and inspire in a way that celebrates, honors, and preserves the people, traditions, and passions of college football.Job Summary:The Manager of Group Sales is responsible for creating the annual group sales budget and establishing individual goals; developing the strategy to achieve the departmental goals and daily management of the group sales team. Additionally, the Manager of Group Sales will represent the CFHOF at various industry events such as SYTA, ABA, and ACVB events. This includes the coordination of all promotional and sales materials as well as implementing a follow-up process to track ROI. The Manager of Group Sales will act as the liaison for the department to coordinate as needed with the Brand and Activation Team, Partnership Services, Fan Experience, Finance, and Operations.Role, Responsibilities, and Key Performance Areas:Developing and implementing an overall multi-channel sales strategy to reach departmental sales goals, which are critical to the overall success of the organization.Work with brand team and designers to manage group sales collateral including look, content, messaging and updates as needed.Establishing and overseeing individual sales goals for group sales coordinators facilitating and ensuring their success along the way.Creating, implementing and refining an on-going incentive program for group sales coordinators to keep them motivated.Developing and growing relationships with school districts, individual schools, community programs, national and regional tour operators, local businesses and local/regional tourism councils.Develop a sales program in partnership with Omni focused on Team Building/Corporate Groups to increase catering and group sales revenue meeting annual goals.Continue to leverage relationship with Omni to increase sales for both events and groups.Work with sales/marketing leadership to manage ongoing data reporting.Identifying resource needs and managing department budget.Carrying out all management duties for a team of group sales coordinators.Preparing for and representing the Hall at various industry trade shows.Other miscellaneous special projects and duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, and Abilities:Minimum of 5 years of group sales experienceMinimum of 2 years of management experienceExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/ and PowerPoint programs (must be able to prepare reports, mail merge, and spreadsheets).Motivated, self-starter with a proactive personality who is able to work independently or with a team.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal- Able to clearly express ideas; present verbal information in a straightforward manner; ask questions in order to open channels of communication; listen to understand the perspective of others.Must be able to multi-task manage time, multiple projects, and work well with little or no supervision to achieve required results.Possess a high level of attention to accuracy, details, and deadlines.Must be able to work outside the core business hours when needed and willing to accept a variety of tasks associated with this position.Responsiveness – Need to perform responsibilities with an acute sense of urgency to meet the needs of others; respond to solve problems; willing to accept a variety of tasks associated with this position.Education level required for positions:Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, Project Management or related course of study preferredPhysical Requirements:Frequently required to stand and walkMust be able to stand for long periods of time in all weather conditionsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyDriving Requirements:Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required as you will be driving and using a company vehicle at events.
