HSC Institutional Advancement seeks to advance HSC’s mission to create solutions for a healthier community through fund development, community education, and alumni relations.
Position Overview
The Senior Director of Development for HSC's new College of Nursing will oversee all development and alumni engagement activities and play an integral role on the Dean's leadership team advocating for external support for the college's priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external constituents.
Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and closing gifts at $25,000 level or higher.
Ability to plan, organize, develop and execute strategies.
Ability to mentor and coach colleagues or direct reports.
Ability to manage time, personnel, financial, and physical resources effectively.
Exceptional communications skills.
Ability to master University policies and procedures and apply these in specific situations.
Job Duties:
Coordinates and manages special alumni/donor activities and events for the College.
Prepares written development materials, including case statements and proposals.
Leads the planning and implementation of a comprehensive development plan for the college.
Maintains timely contact reports and prospect plans within the data tracking system.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
