Come explore Novanta.Job SummaryAs an integral member of the AET HR leadership team, you will identify, develop and deploy business-driven human resources strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans.You will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within the ATI and R&A Sales businesses. The role assesses and anticipates talent and organizational needs working with the leadership team members across the business. Effectively communicating needs and requirements proactively between business management and the HR functional organization, the position seeks to develop integrated solutions that meet the needs of the organization while also serving the needs of the ATI and R&A Sales businesses. The position develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business group's financial position, its long-term plans and its culture and competition.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeads the development of talent management strategies and executes tactics to achieve desired business outcomes.Facilitates organizational change efforts from design to execution working with business and functional leadership membersPartner across the HR function to develop and deliver value added HR services to the business management team and employees that reflects Novanta's strong company values and the business objectives of the

organization.Develops talent engagement plans that align with both the Novanta framework and ATI business strategy to identify opportunities to improve organizational capability and drive desired outcomes.Partner across the HR function to develop and deliver value added HR services to the business management team and employees that reflects our strong company values and the business objectives of the organization.Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to improve organizational capability and drive culture change to align the organization with the strategy.Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training.Develop talent acquisition plans that anticipate short/long-term business needs.Coach others on how to engage and retain key talent, identify when there is a retention risk and differentiate between wanted and unwanted turnover.Ensure the performance management process is followed and effective.Partner with managers on the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process and periodic feedback sessions that strive to raise the performance of the organization.Provide coaching and consulting to business leaders.Advocate employee communications processes that inform employees as well as to enhance communication between employees and management.Provide guidance and direction to business leaders on human resource management policies, processes, and systems.Ability to lead and effectively collaborate with a global team of HR professionals to achieve business and functional objectives.Required Experience, Education, Skills and CompetenciesBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial & Labor Relations, or related discipline. Master's Degree is highly desired.Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible human resources and business-related experience in global manufacturing environments. Experience with highly engineered industrial products, a plus.Prior experience working with global sales and commercial teams, a plusProven experience facilitating organizational design and implementing effective change strategies.Experience introducing and driving talent management strategies.Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines to include, compensation, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels in a matrixed environment.Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations.Ability to diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gap, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training.General knowledge of employment laws and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations.Travel RequirementsUp to 25%Physical RequirementsNoneNovanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
