The Manhattan Strategy Group LLC (MSG) in Bethesda, MD, is seeking an experienced writer/copy editor to carry out tasks quickly but with great attention to detail. This position will entail developing written materials and assisting with editing materials in a fast-paced environment, including proposals, annual project reports, and other public-facing documents for federal clients.You will work with a team to ensure projects run smoothly. You must be familiar with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association: 7th Edition and write and edit for federal plain language requirements.Job Responsibilities/Duties:
U.S. citizen or authorized to work for employer.Detail-oriented and proactive with a mindset for innovation and a willingness to learn new methods and accept constructive feedback with grace and enthusiasm. Use good judgment and take initiative.Independent and collaborative work with content and design teams. Respond to assignments in a timely manner, adhere to project timelines, and participate in cross-team collaboration for multiple projects with competing deadlines.Strong communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to build and maintain relationships with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Cultural sensitivity and equity representation in products is mandatory.Work efficiently in a remote setting and adapt to working with peers across multiple time zones. Ability to work at a standard computer setup for 40+ hours per week with or without accommodations.Qualifications:
Experience writing and editing research and analytic reports, a plusFederal Client experience. Previous work with U.S. Department of Education, Labor, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, or Homeland Security, a plus.BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience in English or related field.
