LOCATION: Onsite in Redmond, WADURATION: 12 monthsPAY RANGE: $77-87/hourTOP 3 SKILLS:Understanding of Electrical engineeringTest and evaluate systems and troubleshootFamiliarity with standard electrical engineering diagnostics toolsCOMPANY:Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.Summary:We are looking for an Electrical Design Validation Engineer to join our team, who will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems and validation systems for future consumer VR and AR experiences. We are looking for a candidate with a broad set of experiences, including embedded design, analog/mixed signal design, power systems, wearables, or lower power design.Job Responsibilities:Execute validation and performance characterization by developing and executing comprehensive test plans for each program at every phase.Work closely with design teams and ensure alignment of validation and characterization plans. Define priorities and validation execution plan.Validate the power regulation circuits (SMPS, LDO, power gates), signal integrity, power integrity, protocol compliance, audio, sensors, co-existing, and eco-system interoperability.Provide expert root cause and corrective action support to resolve any and all issues found.Track validation progress, present data, draft whitepapers, and represent status at design reviews.Communicate status to all stakeholders and drive closure of all issues uncovered from validation tests in every phase of the project.Skills:4+ years of experience along with a BS/MS in Digital System Design/Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.Experience with setup and execution of automated or manual testing systems including experience in conceptualizing the experiments or DOE.Experience with precision testing (RF, Analog, small-signal etc.).Experience troubleshooting designs and the instrumentation impact on measurement.Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence Orcad, Altium or equivalent.Experience with use of standard electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and function generators.Technical breadth in at least two consumer electronic domains such as power electronics, signal integrity, battery management, RF, Audio, sensors systems.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with VR/AR systems or wearable low-power or portable electronic devices.Experience programming in languages like Python/Java/C#/C++/C, creating initial system bring-up, debugging, and test scripts.Experience defining and coordinating test procedures in a lab and factory environment to facilitate system bring-up and evaluation.Experience designing full system prototypes independently.Experience validating High Speed buses (USB, HDMI, PCIe, MIPI etc.).Understanding of hardware system coexistence and interoperability tests.Degrees/Certifications Required:
