DescriptionManhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a rapidly growing management and social sciences consulting firm based in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team in the government contracting space.Our federal clients include the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Education, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, and Treasury, as well as the National Science Foundation. The candidate will join a dynamic team working together to deliver award-winning innovative solutions to our federal clients.The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills in education data and research along with expertise in plain language writing for a variety of audiences using different communications platforms. You will play a crucial role in the execution of complex projects within the education sector, including the U.S. Department of Education, and work closely with the Project Director and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of client projects on time, within scope, and in compliance with contractual requirements.MSG is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. This is a fully remote position.Job Responsibilities/Duties:Collaborate with the Corporate Monitor, Deputy Project Director, and senior leaders to develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, and milestones.Manage resource allocation and scheduling to ensure optimal project efficiency. Monitor and manage risk factors to minimize project disruptions as needed.Collaborate with the PD to ensure effective budget management and that financial objectives are met.Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, government regulations, and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.Implement and direct quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, and project status updates.Lead client projects and provide high-quality deliverables that are timely, thorough, and error-free.Provide guidance and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Supervise the professional development of team members through mentorship and training opportunities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education, communications, social sciences, or a related field with 5 or more years of work experience. Master's degree is a plus.Familiarity with government contracting, regulations, and compliance standards.Proven experience in project management, client management, and communications skills (education writing, media relations, social media, and/or community outreach).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.Strong leadership, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to travel for work, respond to quick turnaround requests, and obtain and maintain security clearances as required.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable but not required.EEO STATEMENTManhattan Strategy Group is an equal-opportunity employer.
