Senior Test Engineer Seattle, WA

Overland AI builds intelligent uncrewed ground systems for defense and national security. Our autonomy stack, OverDrive, is defining the state-of-the-art for perception, planning, and control of uncrewed vehicles, enabling them to traverse and operate in any terrain, regardless of roads, in any condition. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by Point72 Ventures, a top multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor.Role Summary:We’re looking for a Senior Test Engineer to help us build a rigorous quality assurance program and a safety case for uncrewed off-road vehicles powered by OverDrive.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, refine, and execute unit and full-system tests for software and mechanical systems in both simulation and the real world.Report results of testing, tracking both short and long-term trends in metrics, to a wide variety of stakeholders across the company and customer base.Perform functional analysis of complex software systems to identify potential failures and consequences.Implement model-based systems engineering processes to capture requirements, architectures, interfaces, and other information to support a safety case.Work with technical developers to create leading indicators of system safety to support real-time safety assessments.Analyze system deployment CONOPs to identify safety risks and develop mitigation plans for those risks.Generate and maintain documentation for emerging projects and system testing.Desired Experience & Qualifications:Strong technical background: MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 3+ years experience in software or mechanical systems analysis and testing (experience can be substituted for formal education).Experience implementing MIL-STD 882E, ANSI/UL 4600 or other system safety standards for software systems.Grit:
