Understanding and valuing these differences maximizes the potential of both the individual and the firmHarbourVest is an equal opportunity employer.Our Enterprise Investment Office team is looking for a Portfolio Associate to support the portfolio and fund management activities of private equity evergreen funds offered to high net worth and institutional investors. This role will work closely with our investment strategy teams as well as a wide array of teams that manage or support our evergreen fund products.This position will be a hybrid work arrangement.The ideal candidate is someone who is:An analytical problem-solver that can identify and implement creative solutionsA self-starter who is attentive to detail and focused on the execution of responsibilitiesA team-player that is organized and can efficiently prioritize multiple projects to meet target dates with little direct supervisionComfortable working in an area that may not always have established precedentsAble to communicate professionally with colleagues of all levels and across multiple teamsWhat you will do:Own the fund’s model portfolio and target investment parameters in support of evergreen fund leadershipAnalyze the fund’s investment needs related to diversification, tactical strategy allocations, pacing, investment suitability, and sizingRegularly monitor the portfolio against investment objectives & restrictions, and the current market environment to recommend future adjustmentsDay-to-day liquidity management including cash balance and cash investment strategy, credit line utilization, redemption considerations, and capital available to investRegularly communicate with fund managers and other senior investment professionalsProduce new content to respond to internal/external questions and fundraising efforts, particularly focused on portfolio, performance, and liquidityCreate and review external content for product marketing including pitch decks, websites, monthly fact sheets, and quarterly reportsAssist in the production of thought pieces/white papers to support evergreen fund marketingAnd other responsibilities as requiredWhat you bring:Strong private equity and financial markets acumenComfort using and understanding quantitative modelsExperience with report, dashboard, and other analytical tool design, creation, and maintenanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills – an ability to translate technical investment and fund management concepts into clear and concise messagesProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and MicroStrategyEducation PreferredBachelor of Arts (B.A)Bachelor of Science (B.S)Experience3-5 Years private equity, investment-related quantitative analysis, and/or evergreen fund investment experience preferred
