Our sales team is seeking an institutional equities sales professional, who is highly driven and excels at building relationships. This person will work closely with a sales team, with a primary focus on building client relationships and research distribution to institutional money managers. In this position, this person will be exposed to a broad array of research and investment banking products, which are marketed to the investment management, mutual fund, pension fund and hedge fund community.

As an Institutional Equities Sales Professional, you will:

Work in a structured sales team environment, with a primary focus on building prospective and enhancing existing client relationships.Utilize a proactive and consultative sales partnership approach to client relationships, including creating client interactions and engaging clients with Baird resources (research insights, analyst connections, and corporate introductions).Prospect and develop new institutional client relationships.Travel several times per month to client locations in the Central US coverage area.Collaborate with established institutional sales professional covering Central US clients.Be an expert of Baird research product and trading capabilities.Participate in daily morning meeting at 6:30 a.m. Central Time and contribute to the team’s daily client impact.Collaborate and communicate with groups within the Equities business, i.e. Sales Trading, Research, Corporate Access, Investment Banking.What makes this opportunity great:Baird connects institutional investors with industry-leading companies across the globe; our focus on delivering unique relationships, resources and sector expertise garnered top recognition from Greenwich annual survey the past decade.Fast-paced environment that will enable you to grow as a professional.Unique culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives while emphasizing teamwork and a strong sense of partnership.What we look for:An undergraduate degree in Business plus related work/internship experience with an emphasis in the functional area of Finance, Accounting or Economics, or a graduate degree in Business. Ideally 2-3 years experience.SIE, Series 7 and 63 are required within the first six months after start date.A tenacious work ethic and approach to engage with clients is essential.Passion for markets and investing.Strong relationship building and analytical skills.Exceptional communication skills - ability to effectively exchange ideas and information or influence others with a high level of professionalism.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
