Account Executive, Group Sales

D.C. United is looking to add a relationship-driven sales professional to our group sales team. The ideal candidate is motivated, competitive, and driven to become a leader in the sports sales industry.The position will be focused on maximizing revenue by coordinating large youth soccer group events, theme nights, and other group sales initiatives. The selected candidate will be expected to set/execute face-to-face appointments consistently, make outbound sales calls, and work sales events and games.The candidate should have a solid understanding of the group sales process with a relationship-focused personality and a proven track record of selling group tickets in the sports industry.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMeet and exceed all weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals while providing a top level of service to all D.C. United fans.Generate new group sales opportunities through cold calling, outside appointments, and stadium tours. An emphasis is placed on face-to-face and/or virtual sales presentations/meetings to move the sales process forward.Primary group sales focus areas include youth soccer, schools, affinity groups, and non-profit organizations.Create, build, and execute group theme nights and group sales business plans.Provide a high level of service to all accounts.Develop professional relationships with current clients for group outing renewals and referral leads.Maintain all touchpoints with clients and prospects within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.Adoption of additional sales tools.Minimum of 4 meetings, 275 calls, and 400 activities per week.Represent D.C. United positively on game days when interacting with clients and prospects at D.C. United sales tables or at their seats.Contribute positively to the D.C. United sales culture.Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.REQUIREMENTSMinimum of 1 year of successful sales experience.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude.Strong time management and organizational skills.Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments, and sales.Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industry.Must be open to learning throughout the sales training process and be a coachable team member.Willingness to work nights and weekends.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneSCHEDULE8:30am-5:30pm ESTFlexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the season schedule.Base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. The good faith anticipated base pay range for this role is shown below, and actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, location, and other business and organizational needs.Anticipated pay: $45,000 - $65,000All candidates must complete a successful background check.D.C.
