Accounts Payable Manager

in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to:Ensure invoice payments are processed timely and accurately.Oversee key functions like timely execution of Pcard payments & Concur expense reporting.Manage relations with other support groups such as purchasing, laboratories and corporate functions.Lead the design, development and implementation of streamlined processes, best practices and internal controls for the Accounts Payable function.Continue automation of Vendor invoice processing and payments.Initiate payment runs and assure payments are processed, keeping up with open bank reconciliation items.Manage 1099 preparation and related tasks.Support change management during significant technology transformation.Be the key point of contact during year-end, interim and internal audits related to Accounts Payables matters.Manage assigned personnel, establish performance requirements, clarify responsibilities, conduct performance appraisals and plan for individual employee development.Create operational and functional objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to the team.Develop and monitor metrics, reporting and the performance of the Accounts Payable team.Ensure all Accounts Payable general ledger accounts are reconciled, maintained in a current status, and properly reviewed and approved.Lead other projects affecting the accounts payable function.Perform other duties as needed.YOUR PROFILE10+ years of accounts payable experience.Advanced written and verbal skills.Strong background in Microsoft Office – Highly proficient in Excel.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics.Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.High energy and sense of urgency.Teamwork.Basic JDE knowledge preferred. Intellichief knowledge preferred.Required skills: Computer skills are necessary for generating reports, organizing and managing workload. Good supervisory skills are necessary to manage the work and performance of staff. Strong communication skills are required to effectively work with staff, internal and external clients, and our foreign affiliates. Good analytical skills are necessary to quickly identify problems and determine the best course of action.Management:

Responsible for a team of 8 individuals located in Chicago.Work Environment:

The position primarily works in an office environment. Hybrid Work: 3 days in office/2 days remote. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard.
