Advanced Reg Nurse Prac-Family Medicine - IRL -E Clinic

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Family Medicine is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to work at our IRL-E Family Medicine Clinic in Coralville, Iowa to function as an Advanced Practice Nurse and change agent incorporating the primary role of nurse practitioner and the supporting roles of consultant, educator, researcher, and administrator to support quality care and positive patient outcomes.Duties to include:Function independently and/or as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver and evaluate health care for a defined patient population.Assure clinical competency and expertise in area of specialization.Collaborate with nursing staff/nursing administration to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care.Perform medical diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and prescribe, dispense, or deliver medications when a collaborative practice agreement is in place.Other duties as indicated on Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner job description.Percent of Time: 100%Location: IRL-E Family Medicine Clinic (Coralville, IA)Regular salaried position located in Coralville, Iowa.Fringe benefit package including paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life and disability insurance options; and generous employer contributions into retirement plans.Required QualificationsEducation: A Master’s degree is required. A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred. If Master’s degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice is required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Desirable QualificationsPrevious experience in a primary care environment providing care to adults and children is highly desirable.Minimum of 1-year clinical experience after completion of ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) training is highly desirable.Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC is highly desirable.2+ years’ experience in a primary care setting is desirable.Application Process:
