to support our FQHC (Health Services) department at our main headquarters location in NW Washington, DC.Compensation:

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical and nursing care to clients in Medical Services program. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner provides primary care services; including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.Schedule:

Wednesday, 12:30pm - 4:30pm, Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, & Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (20-22 hours per week)Required:

Master's Degree in Nursing; 3-5 years experience in Primary Care or Ambulatory Care SettingPreferred:

Master's Degree in Nursing; 5+ years of experience in Primary Care or Ambulatory Care SettingRequired License/Certification:

Certified Nursing Practitioner by the District of Columbia Department of Health, CPR/First Aid, AED, Current DEA certificate, Current CDS License, Active DC RN LicenseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of clinical care and nursingBasic nursing skills and assessment skill related to patient careKnowledge of electronic health records usage and managementTime management skillsCritical thinking skillsOrganized with an attention to detailAbility to communicate with diverse audiencesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentProfessionalism with the ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to multi-task, despite competing prioritiesExpected Contributions:

Clinical CareConduct triage, medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment delivery to clientsConduct full history and physical examinationsReview laboratory results and imaging studies; communicate findings to patientsReview compliance to medical proceduresPrescribe medications and develop treatment plansReview client medication concernsUpdate patient education materials and provide health education and counselingMake health referrals to medical specialistsCollaborate with Mental Health and Dental Health to provide comprehensive patient careReview medical emergencies and provide guidance for treatmentReports to:
