Faculty - School of Osteopathic MedicineThe Department of Pediatrics seeks to appoint a Vice Chair to provide leadership, direction, and development for all teaching, clinical, research, and support activities. This position will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and work closely with the Rowan-Virtua Medicine Administration team and members of the Dean’s cabinet.Clinical Responsibilities:Lead quality projects to ensure success in VMG, VIN, and other Rowan Medicine initiatives for patient care.Plan and set goals for ambulatory practices for optimization and transformation.Set standards for clinical workflows including standing orders and patient safety.Identify revenue-generating metrics needing improvement.Academic Responsibilities:Direct education programs to ensure faculty success in competencies and accreditation standards.Oversee departmental Areas of Distinction and Faculty Development Programs.Review and respond to student and faculty satisfaction data.Work with the Deans Office to solicit nominations for scholarships and awards.Research Responsibilities:Serve as point person for eIRB submissions and grant reporting.Mentor junior faculty in building scholarly profiles.Collaborate on grant projects with other University departments.Administration Responsibilities:Serve as proxy for the Chair in various committees.Assist in preparing the departmental annual budget.Participate in interviewing and onboarding new faculty and staff.Other duties as assigned by the Chair.Qualifications:Must hold a medical degree (DO or MD), be AOA or ABMS Board Certified in Pediatrics, and have five years of professional experience, including prior management roles.
