Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Responsible for conference room configuration (organizing tables, chairs, audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup) and breakdown and proper storage of this equipment in an efficient and organized manner. Loads and unloads equipment and furniture, moves materials using hand trucks or dollies; stacks and arranges for storage. Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required for the applicable conference/meeting set up. Cleans work area such as carpets and floors using heavy industrial-powered equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: at least three (3) months experience performing laborer duties, AND Duties can include but are not limited to: loading and unloading equipment, moving materials using hand trucks or dollies, stacking and arranging materials, cleaning work areas, etc. knowledge of operating simple power equipment and hand tools such as steam cleaners and vacuums, AND knowledge of performing routine maintenance procedures for equipment (e.g. visual check of the equipment, limited lubrication, cleaning/replacing air filters, refueling, etc.), AND ability to understand and follow oral instructions, AND ability to read and write in order to prepare required forms, AND ability to follow written guidelines and/or instructions. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest. Federal Wage System Allowances and Differentials All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. For Permanent (Regular Part-time) positions: Entitlement to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. Will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. Will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. For Intermittent (Flexible) positions: Sunday premium pay and night shift differentials are not authorized. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
