Business Development Manager - Service
AVL is looking for an individual with an entreprenureal spirit coupled with experience in Sales & Engineering, who would like to create and develop system solutions for a variety of customers, ranging from start-ups to OEMs. Individuals interested in this role should possess experience and knowledge of AVL products.
The Business Development Manager position at AVL Test Systems, Inc. fulfills a vital role within the company by developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with internal organizations locally and globally. The Business Development Manager will have the opportunity to accelerate AVL's growth and expansion into newer segments with a wide range of proven products. This will be a great opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their technical horizons and learn more about how businesses operate on a day-to-day basis. Candidates are required to possess leadership experience & strong communication skills. In addition, experience in SAP & SalesForce are required. Estimated travel for this position is 30%.

ROLES:
Assures market requirement representation
Defines the market requirements
BU-S product promotion
Assists RBM during sales forecast
Monitors customer service trends
Reviews products and service offers to customers
Develops and implements a business plan for Service offerings, including potential analyses, turnover projections, delivery requirements (resources, knowledge, infrastructure)
Achieves overall business plans (bookings, revenue & profit) for AVL CARE for area of responsibility
Supports development of Service strategies for key customers
Supports definition of Service strategies and business plans for the individual markets
Aids sales department in developing and closing contracts
Works with customers during evaluation phases in order to identify their requirements for the optimal availability and usage of AVL equipment
Maintains close communication with global stakeholders within the AVL Business Units
Monitors customer satisfaction of existing contracts
Works with BU-S to align offerings and plans
Drives continuous improvement activities with customers
Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent preferred
10+ years’ experience in the business development or related technical area
Experience in test automation equipment preferred
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical processes
Experience with emissions bench and fuel measurement systems preferred
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Salesforce and SAP experience is required.
