We need your organizational skills in our contract unit in Tacoma to ensure DCYF contract adherence by implementing all DCYF Contracts and Procurement Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), DCYF Administrative Policies, and contracting policies. Our goal is to ensure services provided to DCYF clients contribute to the protection of children, so that children and youth grow up safe and healthy, in strong family environments that flourish.Some of what you will do:Process background checks received by contractors.Create and maintain reports and tracking logs from various internal databases, and establish and maintain provider records.Develop, generate and sign template contracts and amendments in a timely and accurate manner.Continuously keep contracts up to date using a system to ensure contracts don’t expire.Review contract performance and address service or performance issues with the contractor.Research and resolve regional contract disputes and keep the Regional Team Supervisor informed.Conduct Risk Assessments.Assist with the development and creation of custom contracts.Plan, develop, initiate, schedule, attend and conduct on-site contract compliance reviews.Provide on-site Technical Assistance (TA) to Contractors.Provide consultation, technical assistance, and training to regional field staff and contractors.Required qualifications:An equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four years in negotiating, administering or terminating government contracts, contract property management, contract cost or price analyses, or contract compliance administration.ORBachelor’s degree involving major study in public administration, business administration, business law, commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics or closely allied field, AND two years of experience in negotiating, administering or terminating government contracts, contract property management, contract cost or price analysis, contract compliance administration.Degree must be obtained from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or foreign equivalent verified by a NACES-approved organization at naces.org.Foreign Equivalency certification must be attached to the application for degrees obtained outside the U.S. Incomplete applications may be screened out of the recruitment process.In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:Experience in interpreting contract language and applying contracting policies, procedures, state and federal laws.Experience working with customers from varying backgrounds and experiences.Experience assuring compliance with policies, procedures, laws, regulations, or contracted terms and conditions.Familiarity with DocuSign, SharePoint or other content management systems.Proficient in Microsoft Word, with a basic knowledge of Excel and Adobe Acrobat.Maintain confidentiality both inside and outside of the workplace.How do I apply?In addition to completing the online application, attach the following documents to the profile:Letter of interest describing how you meet the specific qualifications for this position.Current resume detailing experience and education.Three professional references.Supplemental Information:The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is committed to Washington’s children and youth growing up safe, healthy, and thriving.
