Currently hold (or have ability to obtain) a minimum security clearance level of:
SecretThis position will favor someone with a strong UX or UI design skillset. You will be using a design system to create flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups. You will be responsible for the design from start to finish.Education:
BA in Psychology or DesignExperience:
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience: UX designer, interactive designer, front-end designer, or equivalent.REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design toolsProficiency with wireframing and visual designAbility to create diagrams, user flows, and annotateAbility to work within Agile processesWillingness to learn complex Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, Modeling & Simulation, and other Army domain-specific workflows and consolidate that knowledge into easy-to-use designs.Ability to describe how/why design decisions were made.Ability to use and participate shaping a design system.Ability to communicate and work as part of a team, as well as independently.Self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines.Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.Deductive reasoning, listening, flexibility, and critical thinking skills and the ability to predict problems before they occur.Ability to easily adapt and learn new things, whether it’s a new prototyping tool, design process, or business process.On-site (Orlando) 1-2 weeks per yearTravel roughly 5-10%UX certifications (does not replace base 5yrs experience)Agile certificationsPREFERENCE TO:
Intelligence or Electronic Warfare domain experienceDesign Systems experience.User Testing experience, ability to create usability test scenarios, evaluate workflows, assess user feedback.
