Summary of Job:We are seeking technically skilled candidates with reliable problem-solving abilities for the position of IT Support Specialist. The duties include providing technical assistance and support to end users regarding computer systems, software applications, hardware devices, and network infrastructure while managing relationships between 3rd party contractors and parent companies to ensure proper escalation paths are taken.There is a requirement to maintain a high level of customer service to provide working solutions to issues and maintain an effective business environment to meet LVGP obligations. This position will display good interpersonal skills as it interacts with clients from various departments, organizations, and executive levels and provides guidance and training to end-users on how to use computer systems and software applications effectively.Responsibilities:Provide Technical Support:Perform basic Exchange operations (creating and maintaining shared mailboxes).Perform Azure AD account maintenance (job titles, group membership, and name changes).Maintain Grand Prix Plaza LED displays and support IT needs for hospitality events.Act as the technical escalation to Formula 1 or 3rd party support, and to offer support to all LVGP staff.Act on security incidents and escalate to F1 Information Security team with appropriate urgency.Troubleshoot problems, diagnose technical issues, and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner escalating to Formula 1, 3rd party vendors, or manufacturers as appropriate to minimize disruption to users' productivity.Providing User Training and Documentation: Offering guidance, training, and support to end-users on how to use computer systems, software applications, and IT tools effectively. Creating user documentation, manuals, and training materials to assist users in understanding and utilizing IT resources efficiently.Managing IT Assets and Inventory: Tracking and maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assisting with procurement, asset management, and inventory control to ensure that IT resources are utilized effectively and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Collaborating with IT Teams: Working closely with other members of the IT department, including network administrators, system administrators, and security specialists, to coordinate IT projects, resolve technical issues, and implement solutions that meet the organization's IT objectives and requirements.Growth/Maintenance:Ensure all work is logged appropriately in the service desk system.Summarize trends and statistics around support calls and develop and implement plans to resolve problems.Own change management and F1 IT processes, ensuring all jobs are logged and passed through the correct approval routes as defined in F1 LVGP policy.Procuring hardware and software licenses in conjunction with F1 processes and policies while maintaining appropriate stock levels.Manage centralized license distribution and ensure appropriate approval for additional access and license distribution.Produce and maintain documentation required for IT management, and end user guides.New starter IT onboarding, including hardware deployment and training.Leavers processed appropriately and in a timely manner per policy.Formula 1:Support LVGP users and coordinate contractors to prepare for the annual race.Keep up to date with the F1 infrastructure and changes that affect end users.Follow escalation procedures to Formula 1 IT infrastructure team in a timely manner utilizing appropriate support windows.Manage clear communication channels with F1 IT and Information Security teams and escalate concerns and changes effectively with appropriate information.Technical Areas of Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:Ability to make well-informed decisions and exercise good judgment and discretion in a fast-paced environment and in a variety of situations, including in the absence of express direction.Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong ethical standards.Work under pressure, both independently and in collaboration with others, to meet deadlines.Microsoft Windows, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange.IT hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile phones, printers, and peripherals).Support of SaaS applications.Experience maintaining ITIL service desk and documentation standards.May require after hours and/or weekend support in periods around events.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
