What We Are Looking For!

DRIVER - CART DELIVERY

POSITION SUMMARYDriver operates truck with flat bed trailer to customers to load/unload garbage carts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate company vehicle to deliver garbage carts to customer and pick up customer returnsNavigate a variety of routes, entering and exiting the truck multiple times throughout delivery areaFollow proper delivery procedures and instructionsMake local deliveries to customersLoad and unload garbage carts into flat bed trailerProvide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phoneAccurately count and deliver ordersInspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditionReport any mechanical problems encountered with vehicleOther duties as requiredMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least 3 years of satisfactory driving experience of Class C vehicles preferredAir Brake endorsement a plusFlat Bed Trailer experience desiredMust have a clean driving recordExcellent communication skills and ability to deal professionally with customers, dispatchers, mechanics and other driversAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsExcellent driving skillsComputer Skills: Basic use of Tablets and ApplicationsPass drug screen and criminal background checkSuccessfully complete and pass a written and road testMeet all Federal & State DOT requirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a DOT physicalRequire to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequentlyRequire pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 poundsMust be able to climb into and out of truck several times per day using 3 points of contactMust be able to sit for long periods as well as walk for short periodsMust be able to bend, stoop, crawl and squat in order to perform a full inspection of the underside of the truck and inspect tires for adequate inflation and potential damageMust be able to work outside for short periods of time in all types of weatherMust be able to see and hear proficiently to operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe mannerMust be able to work in a moderately noisy environmentEDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalentLICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Possess a valid Class C Driver's License
