Home Match is seeking an Associate Director for our San Francisco office to help lead our work creating affordable housing opportunities, preventing homelessness and supporting older adults who want to age in place.About Home MatchOur program builds community, one home at a time. We facilitate home-sharing relationships that empower aging community members to stay in their chosen homes through increased income and social connection while creating affordable places to live for people of all ages. Home Match connects homeowners or primary tenants who have extra rooms in their home or ADU on their property with individuals looking for an affordable living option. Our team supports program participants every step of the way with compassion and creativity, offering tools to ensure a happy and sustainable home sharing dynamic for the lifetime of their match.

www.frontporch.net/homematchSummaryThe Associate Director of San Francisco reports to the Home Match Director of San Francisco and assists senior leadership in guiding staff towards meeting and exceeding goals and objectives. The Associate Director supports Program Managers and assists with implementing operations strategies to meet grant objectives, including the matching process. The Associate Director will support with daily management of Program Managers and manage the team when Director is out of office.The Associate Director must feel comfortable working with a diverse set of individuals, cultures, and circumstances, from low-income applicants to government and nonprofit leaders. Excellent communication skills in both interpersonal and public speaking contexts are essential for success in this position. This position requires flexibility in hours including occasional evening and weekend work. Work is performed on site at the San Francisco office and in the community.ResponsibilitiesWork with leadership team to establish and achieve annual goals and objectivesEnsure quality standards for PMs in participant vetting and data inputBecome an expert in the Home Match program and be comfortable discussing other Community Services programs as well as the Front Porch missionModel a high degree of customer service to funders and participants, with teams responding quickly and professionally to all inquiriesSupport, cultivate and mentor staffWork with leadership team to create and implement effective new, online and offline methods of conducting outreach and engaging with Home Match participantsUse online tools to track and analyze program data; ensure all data is entered accurately and in a timely mannerContinually seek opportunities to strengthen and/or expand the program and its impactContribute to the sustainability of the program and working with the organization’s FoundationKnowledge of program budgetEvaluate, implement, monitor, measure and report on program metrics and grant objectivesOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSelf-motivated, curious, results-oriented, problem solving and caring individual that works well both independently and with a teamProven track record managing staff, meeting programmatic goals, building impactful partnerships and securing funding.Excellent organizational and time management skills, flexibility, and demonstrated experience in successfully managing day to day program operationsCapacity to work with people from across cultural and socio-economic spectrumsActive listening, strong verbal and written communication and public speaking skillsProven track record in forming and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, community leaders, elected officials, and fundersEstablished network in San Francisco and knowledge of local housing challenges is desirableAdept with or able to quickly learn new technology systems and online platformsKnowledge about housing, health care and older adult services beneficialEducation and QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience (graduate school counts towards this 5+ year requirement)Experience in social services, case management, education, customer service, community outreach, real estate, project management or program coordinationWorking knowledge of San Francisco’s housing and/or human services industriesEstablished network of contacts in San Francisco neighborhoods including community-based organizations, schools, or community leaders and/or government officialsFront Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
