About the role:

The Director of Digital Operations will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing the organization’s digital media strategy. This role will oversee all digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, website management, and online campaigns to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and donor support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the SWC’s mission and work as well as issues that are germane to the Center.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital media efforts and track progress.

Content Creation and Management:

Oversee the creation and curation of engaging and high-quality content across all digital platforms, including social media, websites, blogs, and email newsletters.

Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.

Social Media Management:

Manage and grow the organization’s presence on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).

Create and schedule posts, engage with followers, and analyze performance metrics.

Website Management:

Oversee the maintenance and updates of the organization’s website to ensure it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and optimized for search engines (SEO).

Monitor website analytics and implement improvements based on data insights.

Email Marketing:

Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to engage supporters, promote events, and drive donations.

Segment email lists and personalize content to enhance engagement and response rates.

Online Campaigns:

Plan and execute online fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Collaborate with the development team to create compelling campaigns that inspire donations and support.

Analytics and Reporting:

Utilize analytics tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of digital media efforts.

Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on digital media performance.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the communications, development, and program teams to align digital media efforts with organizational priorities.

Manage and mentor digital media staff or interns as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum of 7 years experience.

Proven experience in digital media management, preferably in a non-profit or cause-driven organization.

Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and best practices.

Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), email marketing software, and analytics tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
