Description:Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. has an immediate need for a Project Accountant in either our San Jose, CA, Denver, CO, or Charlotte, NC office.

The Project Accountant is responsible for working with each business unit to manage all the financial information related to projects. This includes monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving project expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments are collected. The Project Accountant will be the client interface for Project Managers while also being responsible for proactively analyzing and reporting on financial project administration, profitability, utilization, budgets, and accruals.

Primary Responsibilities:Effectively communicate and collaborate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, scope changes, contract amendments, approvals, financial status, and any additional services related to Projects.Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management and project managers – i.e. project profitability, opportunities for additional billings, remaining backlog available for projects.Respond to client requests and interface with clients to investigate project variances, all project expenses not billed to customers, and unpaid contract billings.Create and closeout opportunities and projects in NetSuite and Box.com as appropriate.Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders (primarily in Box.com).Create, review and/or approve: subcontractor invoices related to projects, all project-related billings to customers, write-off of any project-related billings that cannot be billed to or collected from customers.Create customer invoicing.Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:5 years of experience in project accounting or related field.BS degree in Business or Engineering, is a plus.Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents.Excellent communication and writing skills.Experience with NetSuite and Box.com a plus.Salary Range:The expected salary range for this role in California is $73,000 – $92,000 annually, and in Colorado it is $64,000 - $80,000 annually. The exact pay will be commensurate with experience.
