The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology's expanding brain tumor drug development lab is seeking to hire a motivated individual to join our team as a Staff Research Associate I (50% part-time). This role is vital in its potential to significantly contribute to our pre-clinical xenograft studies, both current and upcoming. Key responsibilities include conducting animal experiments related to drug development, such as tumor xenograft implantations and administering investigational therapeutics. The position also involves performing basic lab maintenance duties as required.Hourly range: $26.52-$31.63Qualifications
Required:Basic understanding of biology;Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis; Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines;Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc;Skilled at working with spreadsheets, databases, and email;Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed;Ability to keep laboratory space clean, safe and organized.Preferred:B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field.
