Job Description:
Vali, Inc. is currently seeking candidates with a background in talent management, performance management, classification, career development, change management, communications, and training to serve as a Human Capital Generalist supporting the Missile Defense Agency in
National Capital Region (NCR) .
Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Provide HR program management support and communications.
Update, draft, and research HR-related policies and documents.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Track, analyze, edit, and report personnel actions related to recognition programs.
Facilitate receipt, distribution, and completion of certificates of eligibility to hiring officials, schedule interviews, and prepare and coordinate required personnel staffing packages.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
Thoroughly reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Assisting with HR-related actions, in/out processing, and other functions as needed.
Provides training support as needed.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Comprehends the use of metrics, trends, and work monitoring to ensure the completion of timely and quality work.
Provide excellent customer service to the workforce.
Identify trends and areas for improvement.
Measure, track, and report results of current initiatives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, and self-driven.

Ability to act with professionalism and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations Human Resource and talent management systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience communicating with and training/presenting to leaders.
Prior MDA or DoD experience preferred.
Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Human Resource professional certifications are preferred.
Eligibility for higher labor categories is based on additional years of experience.
Clearance Requirement(s):
Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret level security clearance; Candidates with an
active
Secret clearance preferred.
