The USC Institute for Addiction Science is seeking a business analyst to support the Institute with financial and administrative oversight of tasks associated with procurement, accounting, contracts and grants, and HR administration. Under the direction of the Chief Finance and Administration Officer, they will focus on pre and post award grant administration but will also support office staff with management of institute infrastructure. General obligations will include day to day office administration & process management, specific obligations will cover a range of functions including supplier management, A/R & A/P administration, proposal submissions, staff recruitment, cost accounting, & project budgeting. The position will assist with data collection, data entry, & budget reporting so should be detail-oriented, comfortable with software applications, & experienced with interdepartmental communication.About the Institute.

The Institute for Addiction Science is one of the nation's first university-wide comprehensive transdisciplinary addiction institutes. Founded in 2018, the Institute is unique in its breadth and depth of addiction research and education, which spans basic, clinical, behavioral, social, and population sciences and promotes substantial transdisciplinary collaboration bridging these scientific areas. The Institute brings together faculty from different colleges and schools across USC to conduct transdisciplinary research, education, and community outreach to improve the lives of those touched by addiction. Through bringing scholars together and providing an infrastructure to support synergy and collaboration, the mission of IAS is to generate innovative and impactful addiction research and education programs that advance the science, prevention, and treatment of addiction.The hourly rate range for this position is $34.43 -
